Wood Side Table with Metal Dragons
This wooden side table was once owned by a granddaughter of one of the Crayola founders, and it has intricate metal dragons holding up the bottom shelf. It was a "customize" piece on my website, and a client saw it while looking for a gift for her husband. Seeing as he loves dragons, she thought this piece would be a great fit. The table tops were sanded to remove surface scratches and re-stained a similar red-brown, while the legs and frame were painted in a dark gray to offset the tops. As a finishing touch, the metal dragons were cleaned so they have a shiny, yet still slightly weathered, patina. Now, it's a beautiful, unique table that is also an interesting conversation piece.
