Pair of Two-Toned Wingback Chairs
A client wanted to update a pair of vintage wingback chairs, owned by her parents while she was growing up, to use as extra seating in her living room in her first home. The frames were stripped and sanded before being re-stained a dark, ebony color that still shows hints of the wood grain. Some of the interior structures were replaced before the chairs were completely reupholstered in two complementary fabrics. The cushion and front insides were covered in a shimmering blue, while the outside back, seat front, and arm rests were refinished in a taupe and blue stripe fabric. Matching piping was added to all parts of the chairs, and two pillows add an extra touch.
