Mixed Print Rococo Chair
This fanciful Rococo chair was a "customize" piece that a client picked as a reading chair in her bedroom. Departing from her typical desire for clean lines and a modern aesthetic, the client loved the small carved details and plushness of this chair. The piece was painted a neutral light taupe, the chair structure was re-built, and the original tufting was removed to modernize the chair. Using Mackenzie-Childs as a jumping off point, the client combined a watercolor floral and houndstooth print fabric for various parts of the chair pulling it all together with a dark gray welt cording. Now, it's a very elegant and comfortable place to curl up with a book.
