Honeybee Step Stool

This most recent commission comes from a client who wanted to re-vamp some of her grandparent's furniture. Her 50s era step stool had clearly gotten decades of use and was heavily rusted. A bit of sanding and a rust-stopping primer cleaned up the frame, and several coats of silver paint makes it shine like new. My client found a beautiful, bold and graphic bee and flower fabric, which reflects her interest in honeybees, and fits perfectly upon the seat and backrest. Finally, the two steps are painted a vibrant orange to tie all the elements together.
